Project Description: This was my Year 12 Major Project for Industrial Technology Timber, it is a contemporary Wine Server that is made from a range of materials and joints. The aim was to provide a product that was functional, vibrant, represented different wood joinery, matched the living environment and was unique. The wine server has two main compartments; the upper compartment will store the wine glasses, and the lower compartment will store the wine bottles. As well as a push system bench top for the serving of beverages, and a shelf below that can be used for storage.
This project enhanced my knowledge in wood joinery, different tooling, timber species, materials, and finishes. As well as, there was little use of the laser cutter to do the panel detailing.
